An earlier post said that "a cradle scythe could successfully harvest paddy rice, as long as it wasn't too ripe." If the paddy rice is too ripe, the action of harvesting (with a scythe or with motorized equipment) tends to dislodge the grains, which fall to the ground.
Why do you suggest that rice Can be harvested using scythe provided the rice is not fully ripe?
